November 4, 2024 – CAL FIRE’s Forest Legacy Grants Program has awarded over $8.5 million to protect critical forestlands across California! These four projects support sustainable forest management, wildlife habitat, recreation, and more.

One funded project, Owl Creek, partners with the Colfax-Todds Valley Tribe and Placer Land Trust to conserve land using indigenous knowledge. Together, we’re preserving forests for future generations while enhancing wildfire resilience.
