Detectives Seek Leads to Solve 2021 Homicide of Kingsburg Man
November 5, 2024 – Fresno County Sheriff's Office officials report that Homicide detectives with the Sheriff’s Office are asking the community to come forward with any information that can solve the murder of 23-year-old Shawn Vigo of Kingsburg.
Shortly before 9:00 p.m. on Monday, August 16th, 2021, Kingsburg Police officers were dispatched to a shots fired call on the 1700 block of 18th Avenue in Kingsburg. Once officers arrived, they found Shawn Vigo (pictured) lying in the roadway. Officers and EMS personnel discovered Shawn had been shot. Despite life-saving efforts, he died at the scene.
Kingsburg Police requested the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office take over the investigation. Our homicide detectives determined this was not a random act and Shawn was targeted.
Detectives have conducted several interviews over the past three years, but are requesting to speak with anyone they may not have contacted who has information about this deadly shooting.
