November 7, 2024 – Mariposa Safe Families officials announce they have lots of engaging events and sessions happening this month on top of their regularly scheduled programming!
Child Safety Series - Bonus session on INTERNET SAFETY!! This session will dive deep into what you can do as a parent/caregiver and/or adult ally in a youth’s life to help ensure their safety while on the internet - specifically while on social media! We will also have a separate session on internet safety for youth 10 years of age and up. You won’t want to miss it!! Happening Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 5:30 P.M. at Mariposa Safe Families, Inc.!
"Fostering Art through Liberation Event" hosted by Mariposa Arts Council, Mariposa County Library, and Mariposa County Health & Human Services. This event will take place at MSF and will focus on introducing and/or deepening youth's relationship with various art forms, focusing on relationship building and making connections with ones self and others through art, and wondering together about what liberation means and looks like for each individual, and how we can edge closer to it through artistic expression. The event will take place on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 5:30 P.M. - 7:30 P.M.!
"Operation Turkey" an event sponsored by MSF, the Mariposa County Sheriff's Office, Pioneer Supermarket and Pharmacy, and the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Foundation, providing Thanksgiving meals to Mariposa Families in need during the holiday season. The giveaway will take place on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, with the deadline to sign up for a Thanksgiving meal being Wednesday, November 20, 2024.
