November 8, 2024 – Fresno Police Department officials report that on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 1:09 a.m., Southeast officers responded to the Shell Gas Station at 2588 South Maple Avenue for a victim of a shooting. Officers arrived and located the victim who had been shot several times. The victim was transported to CRMC where he underwent surgery and was listed in stable condition.
Felony Assault Unit (FAU) Detectives were able to determine that three males were involved in a verbal disturbance with the victim and his girlfriend, as they exited the store. The disturbance escalated into a fist fight and one of the males pulled out a firearm and shot the victim multiple times.
Detectives were able to identify the suspect as Christopher Norris and arrested him on Monday, November 4, 2024.
Norris was booked at Fresno County Jail for the assault with a deadly weapon (Firearm), shooting at a dwelling, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
