November 20, 2024 – Kern County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on November 18, 2024, Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies assigned to the North Area Substation were dispatched to a vehicle theft near the area of Wildwood Road and Riverside Street north of Buttonwillow. Upon further investigation, deputies located and recovered the stolen vehicle, a backhoe, in the area of Seventh Standard Road and Enos Lane on November 19, 2024.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
