November 23, 2024 – Tulare County Sheriff’s Office officials report that at around 3:00 p.m. on November 21, 2024, TCSO Deputies were called to Strathmore Middle School in the 19800 Block of Orange Belt Drive in Strathmore for a report of threats made toward four female students and school staff. 

When Deputies arrived, they learned the suspect, 43-year-old Jason Mitchell of Strathmore, threatened to assault and kill four girls at the school, as well as school staff. 

Deputies tracked Mitchell down and he was booked into the Tulare County Jail for making criminal threats.
