During English Language Arts, Mrs. Stillwell's centers were all about green eggs and ham.
Students, including Tucker Knauf, practiced reading and writing sight words written on green eggs. Students also worked on fine motor skills by having to use a spatula to get the sight word off the griddle.
Students wrote about food they like and where they would eat it.
After reading the book, "Green Eggs and Ham," students helped prepare green eggs and ham for snack. Here, Zayden Land, Tyson Shelby, and Devon Foster take a turn.
During math, Ms. Stillwell read, "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" to students who then used color gold fish crackers to practice their math skills estimating, counting, and using tally marks.
Students practiced addition skills by adding the dots together on the dice and covering the sum on the hat.
Students counted by tens in order to put the puzzles together.
At another station, students like Annalee Blagg and Devon Foster, measured red and white cubes.
Happy birthday, Dr. Seuss! Stillwell's TK/K students thoroughly enjoyed the day.
