Secret Santa: Helping a Veteran in Need 

December 16, 2024 – Placer County Sheriff’s Office officials report that a veteran in need was helped by a Secret Santa.

One of our correctional officers, Officer Cuddy, learned about a veteran in need through his connections with organizations that support Veteran Outreach. The veteran was facing challenges with car repairs and could use some extra help. Inspired by the spirit of giving, Officer Cuddy felt that this was the perfect opportunity to brighten up someone's holiday. Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, Officer Cuddy and Deputy Myers were able to provide the veteran with a gift card to ease the burden and spread some much-needed holiday cheer.
