Secret Santa: Spreading the K9 Love 

December 18, 2024 – Placer County Sheriff's Office officials report that this Secret Santa story is all about the power of paying it forward. Mr. Trimarchi, a retired K9 officer, reached out to donate some K9 equipment to our team. We met him at his home, where he generously gifted us water bowls, leashes, dog crates, and more! His thoughtful gesture truly warmed our hearts.

Thanks to an anonymous donor, many of our deputies are able to share gift cards with others this holiday season. As a token of our appreciation, we kept the Christmas spirit alive and gave Mr. Trimarchi a gift card in return. It was our own little “drive-thru pay it forward” moment. 

Maybe this story will inspire someone else to do the same—whether it’s covering the coffee of the person behind you or offering a kind gesture. You never know what someone may be going through, and a simple act of kindness could be the perfect pick-me-up to brighten their day!
