December 28, 2024 – Sonora Police Department officials report that on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at approximately 4:03 A.M. (0403 hours), Sonora Police Officers were dispatched to ARCO AM/PM gas station and express mart on Pesce Way north of the downtown area. A 911 caller reported two armed males wearing masks entered the business and stole items. The suspects fled to a vehicle that was parked in an adjacent parking lot.

Surveillance video showed two suspects armed with a  handgun and an AR-15 style rifle enter into the store and confront the store clerk. The suspects pointed their weapons at the clerk and demanded the cash register be opened, The store clerk moved away from the registers and the suspects stole cash and alcohol from the business. The suspects fled to a vehicle that was parked in an adjacent parking lot.

On 08/11/2022, at approximately 4:03 A.M. (0403 hours), Sonora Police were dispatched to ARCO AM/PM gas station and express mart on Pesce Way north of the downtown area. BERGSTROM, DALE 21,of Sonora, CA, was sentenced on 8/29/2024 to 7 years CDC  for Penal Pode 211- Armed robbery and Penal Code12022.5- sentence enhancement for using a firearm. 

WORTHINGTON, JACOB RAY, 25, of Sonora, CA, was sentenced on 8/29/2024 to 5 years CDC  for Penal Pode 211- Armed robbery and Penal Code12022.5- sentence enhancement for using a firearm.
