December 29, 2024 – CAL FIRE officials report that California achieved a 275% increase in cone collection this year thanks to the American Forests Reforestation Pipeline Partnership (RPP), a collaboration with U.S. Forest Service.

Nearly half of the record 11,330 bushels gathered were processed at CAL FIRE’s L.A. Moran Reforestation Center, ensuring a reliable seed supply for our state’s growing reforestation needs.

This milestone reflects the power of public-private partnerships like the RPP, driving innovation, expanding workforce networks, and strengthening California’s reforestation pipeline. Together, we’re planting the seeds for a greener, more resilient future!
