Four new Directors have been added to the Mariposa County Student Loan Association in the last year.  Carol Hart, representing the Mariposa Academic Boosters Club, Pat Wight, representing the Soroptimists International of Mariposa, Dianne Fritz, representing Happy Burger Diner and Lee Ann Allen representing Mercy Ambulance have become directors of this worthy organization.  The Student Loan Association, founded in 1953, provides interest free loans to Mariposa’s graduating high school students for college expenses. 

Directors review, approve, and monitor the loans.  To become a director your organization is requested to donate a minimum of $75 a year to the Student Loan Association.  These funds, along with other donation, and loan payments provided funding for new loans for Mariposa’s college bound students.  Applications for loans can be found at online at: mchs-mcusd-ca.schoolloop.com/counsel or at the Mariposa High School Counselling Office.
