Robbery Suspect Arrested in Merced 

January 15, 2025 – Merced, CA – Merced Police Department officials report that detectives have arrested a suspect in connection with an armed robbery.

On January 14, 2025, at approximately 10:11 A.M., officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at CVS Pharmacy. The suspect, described as a Hispanic male wearing dark clothing, held a store clerk at gunpoint and stole a significant amount of cash from the register before fleeing the area on a bicycle.

At approximately 2:15 P.M., detectives searching the area located an individual matching the suspect’s description in the 1400 block of Louise Avenue. The individual was wearing the same clothing and was found with the same bicycle seen in surveillance footage. Upon further investigation, detectives found the suspect in possession of a large amount of cash and an airsoft handgun.

The suspect, identified as Miguel Valencia (26), was arrested, and booked into the Merced County Jail on charges of armed robbery.
