January 22, 2025 – Tulare County Sheriff's Office officials report that late Saturday night, TCSO Dispatch received a satellite 911 alert about three people stranded near Buck Rock in the Sequoia National Forest. Dispatchers learned their vehicle got stuck in the snow, and one person was also experiencing medical complications.
The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team quickly responded, helping the group get out of the area and to safety.
Sheriff Boudreaux wants to remind the public of the potential dangers of winter conditions in our mountain areas. Stay prepared with proper clothing, blankets, food, water and always have a plan. Let your loved ones know where you're going before heading out.
