January 22, 2025 – Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Thursday, January 9, 2025, just before midnight, a deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle with an unreadable license plate about halfway down the New Priest Grade near Moccasin. The deputy spoke to the driver, 42-year-old Jordon Link, who believed he had outstanding warrants for his arrest. After the deputy had Link exit the vehicle, he noticed metal knuckles on the floorboard and handcuffed Link. While searching Link, the deputy found a small container attached to a necklace that had residual Methamphetamine.

The deputy searched the vehicle and found a loaded, unserialized handgun, also known as a “Ghost gun,” underneath the driver’s seat. In the back seat, the deputy located a “Meth bong,” with white residue and burn marks commonly used to smoke Methamphetamine. Link admitted ownership of the items. Further records checks revealed that Link had multiple prior convictions for drug and felony offenses. 

Link was arrested and transported to the Dambacher Detention Center (DDC) where he was booked on the charges of 11395(B)(1) HS – Possession of a controlled substance with 2 or more prior convictions, 11370.1(A) HS – Possession of a controlled substance while armed, 29800(A)(1) PC – Possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, 25400(A)(1) PC – Carrying a concealed weapon inside a vehicle, 25850(C)(6) PC – Carrying a loaded firearm in public, 21810 PC – Possession of metal knuckles, 11364 PC possession of controlled substance paraphernalia and felony and misdemeanor outside agency warrants.
