Deputies Catch Fleeing Motorcyclist, Registered Sex Offender 

January 24, 2025 – Fresno County Sheriff's Office officials report that at around 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, a deputy on patrol near W. Dudley and N. Marks Ave. in Fresno attempted to stop a motorcycle that did not have a visible license plate. The rider, later identified as 56-year-old Benny Brusso, did not pull over. Instead, he accelerated away and ran stop signs. Brusso ultimately ended the short pursuit by skidding out and laying his bike down near Olive and Hughes. Deputies took Brusso into custody.

A records search showed Brusso is a sex offender who has not renewed his registration. He had meth, marijuana and copper wire in his possession. However, we have no "proof" the wire is stolen.

He has been booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges of evading police and drug possession. He also had warrants for not updating sex offender information and for possession of drugs.
