January 30, 2025 – CAL FIRE officials announce that this year for California Arbor Week, our partners at California ReLeaf are hosting a fun poster contest for kids ages 5–12! The theme is “Trees Root Our Community,” highlighting how trees make our neighborhoods feel like home. They provide shade, bring us outside to play, and create spaces to spend time with family and friends.
How to enter:
- Submit your original artwork and entry form by Friday, February 7th to: California ReLeaf, 2115 J Street, Suite 213, Sacramento, CA 95816.
- If mailing isn’t an option, you can send high-quality digital copies (photos or scans). Finalists will need to send in the original artwork.
Winners will be announced on Friday, March 7th—so grab your art supplies and show us how trees root our communities! Winners will get cash prizes ranging from $25 to $100, plus a printed copy of their poster! The top entries will be showcased at the Arbor Week press conference and shared on social media by California ReLeaf, CAL FIRE, and the California Department of Forestry.
