February 1, 2025 – Fresno Police Department officials report that on Friday morning, January 31, 2025, just before 3:00 a.m., Northeast officers were dispatched to Shiekh Shoes at 563 East Shaw Avenue for a burglary in progress.

The suspects used a stolen vehicle to ram the business doors, where they stole multiple items and then fled in the vehicle.

A description of the vehicle was broadcasted and a Fresno County Sheriff's Office deputy nearby quickly located the vehicle.

The Fresno Sheriff’s deputy initiated a short pursuit and the vehicle was abandoned by the suspects at Fresno Avenue and Fairmont Avenue.

Multiple officers, including Fresno PD K9, Fresno Sheriff and California Highway Patrol, set a perimeter and with the assistance of the CHP air support camera system, all four suspects were taken into custody.

Over 90 clothing items were taken, valued at over $9,000.  All items were fortunately returned to the business.

The four suspects were found to be juveniles, two 15-year-olds and two 17-year-olds, and were all arrested and booked into the Juvenile Justice Center.

They were charged with:

• Burglary
• Possession of a Stolen Vehicle
• Conspiracy to commit a Felony
