February 2, 2025 - The Tuolumne County Animal Control Office will be closed from February 7th until February 18th due to maintenance & repairs required within our office. In-office services will be extremely limited at this time due to these repairs. Our phone services will also be impacted; however, we will do our best to answer all calls we receive using what limited office resources we have available to us.
We may be able to re-open our office prior to February 18th if the work in our office is completed sooner.
Animal Control staff will still be reporting to the shelter as normal to perform field operations, and care for the animals at the shelter. We anticipate that office operations (counter services, phone services, mail, fax, etc.) are the only functions of our department that will be impacted at this time. As usual, we will continue to do whatever we can to reunite any lost pets we receive with their rightful owners; and we will do our best to continue accepting stray animals although our office is closed. Please call our office if you have a stray animal you would like to bring us prior to arriving here so we know that you are coming and can arrange a way to intake the animal.
We apologize in advance for any inconvenience that this may cause.
Animal Control is always available for animal related emergencies by contacting the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office at 209 533-5815.
