February 3, 2025 – Merced County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Saturday night, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle. When Deputies attempted to stop the car, the suspect, identified as Juan Ibarra Rosales, led Deputies on a pursuit through Delhi. 

During the pursuit, Rosales drove his vehicle into the Deputies’ patrol cars. This caused Deputies to discharge their service weapons striking him one time. Rosales then crashed and was taken to a local area hospital for treatment. He is in stable condition. No Deputies were injured in this incident. 

At this time, the Merced County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Bureau is continuing their investigation.
