February 4, 2025 – Amador County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on February 2, 2025, at approximately 4:40 p.m., the Amador County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Williams Road in Pioneer for the report of an in-progress burglary. The victims were home when they heard and observed a male force entry into the side door of their residence.
The suspect fled the location prior to ACSO units arriving on scene. As units approached the location, Sheriff’s Dispatch received a report of a male subject, matching the description provided by the victim, walking in the middle of Hwy 26 and acting erratically. Deputies responded and ultimately detained the suspect after warnings that a K9 would be deployed if the suspect did not surrender.
The victim positively identified the suspect and the suspect’s boots matched a boot print found inside the victim’s residence where the suspect forced entry through the door. The suspect was later determined to be on Amador County Probation and was booked into jail for Burglary and a Probation Violation.
