February 7, 2025 – Fresno Police Department officials report that during the last week of January, members of the Fresno
Police Department, Fresno County District Attorney’s Office, and Homeland Security Investigations conducted a large-scale weeklong operation in the City of Fresno targeting human trafficking. The operation focused on both sex workers and sex purchasers who were significantly impacting residents and businesses. The operation concluded with 31 arrests, 22 impounded vehicles, and a recovered firearm.
The following organizations assisted Fresno Police Officers in offering services and assistance to identified victims during the operation: Breaking the Chains (BTC) @breakingthechainsfresno and Fresno EOC Central Valley Against Human Trafficking (CVAHT) @fresnoeoc.cvaht.
These operations will continue at other locations in the City of Fresno and will focus on both the sex workers and the sex purchasers. Anyone with information regarding Human Trafficking is asked to call the Human Trafficking Hotline at 559-621-5950.
