April 4, 2016 - With the 2016 Mariposa Gem & Mineral Show coming up on April 9-10, 2016 we re-assembled a SlideShow of the 2007 show. The Mariposa Gem and Mineral Show is an annual fund-raiser for the California State Mining and Mineral Museum and is all set to be even bigger and better this year.  Gemstones, geode cutting, panning for gold, and lovely jewelry make this the ideal fun and educational outing for the whole family.

The California State Mining and Mineral Museum is open during the gem show, and admission is free!  The Museum displays beautiful crystals and gemstones from the State’s collection, and features an extensive gold mining exhibit including a replica mine tunnel.  There are lots of fun and educational activities for kids.
