February 12, 2025 – Fresno Police Department officials report that shortly after 2:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 28, 2024, officers from the Fresno Police Department’s Central Policing District responded to Pleasant Street and Fedora Avenue for reports of multiple gunshots fired in the area. ShotSpotter detected three separate activations near the 3600 block of North Pleasant Street. The first activation registered 15 rounds, while the second registered 27 rounds, and the third registered 5 rounds. Shortly after, a call was received reporting a shooting victim in the area.
When officers arrived at the scene, they located two gunshot victims. The first victim, 22-year-old Anthony Calderon, sustained a gunshot wound to his upper body and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The second victim, a 28-year-old male, suffered a gunshot wound to his lower body and was transported to CRMC for treatment. The third victim, a 23-year-old male, was there at the time of the shooting but was not injured.
The victims told officers that they were standing outside at the apartment complex in the 3600 block of North Pleasant Street when a group of males approached them. For unknown reasons, someone from the group started firing at them.
Detectives from our Homicide Unit responded and began their investigation. Through a thorough investigation over the last several months, detectives determined that six suspects were involved in this homicide. Four suspects have been identified and arrested by the Street Violence Tactical Team: 20-year-old Uniese Brown, 19-year-old Christopher Stanley, 20-year-old Demarion Hackett and a 16-year-old male. The three adults were booked into Fresno County Jail, and the juvenile was booked into the Fresno County Juvenile Justice Center.
Two suspects remain outstanding, and the Homicide Unit is asking our community for help in locating them.
