February 27, 2025 – Sonora Police Department officials report that 34-year-old Angela Young of Sonora was arrested Monday following an investigation into a reported burglary.
Approximately 7 minutes after the officers left, the homeowner called the Sonora Police Department and advised our dispatch that Young had returned to his home and was trying to get inside. Officers soon arrived back on scene and located Young leaving the area in a silver Honda sedan. Officers attempted to stop Young, but a short pursuit ensued. However, they were able to stop her and take her into custody without further incident. Young displayed signs of intoxication, and officers ultimately determined she was impaired.
Young was booked in the Tuolumne County Jail for First-Degree, misdemeanor Vandalism, and DUI.
