Felon in Possession of Firearm Arrest in Madera 

March 2, 2025 – Madera County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Thursday, February 27, Madera County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the area of Harper Blvd. and Arizona Ave. in Madera following reports of a Hispanic male shooting a firearm near the railroad tracks. Upon arrival, 39-year-old Miguel Angel Flores Jr., of Madera, was contacted and detained. 

Further investigation led Deputies with the Madera Sheriff's Special Enforcement Team (MADSET) to serve a warrant in the 16000 block of Harper Blvd. at Flores's residence. During the search, additional firearms and ammunition were located. Flores is prohibited from possessing firearms/ammunition and was arrested for various firearm related charges. 

Madera County Sheriff Tyson Pogue states, “We continue to prioritize public safety and encourage community members to report any suspicious activity they may witness.”
