Update Per Mariposa County Library: We have rescheduled our Catheys Valley Pop-Up Library Kickoff to Thursday, March 20, 2025.
March 2, 2025 – Mariposa County Library officials announce some exciting news. The library will be taking its services to Catheys Valley! Please come to the grand opening of our Catheys Valley "Pop-Up Library!" It will be held on Thursday, March 13 from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at McCay Hall. It is located at 2820 Highway 140 in Catheys Valley.
The county will have library cards available so that Catheys Valley community members can sign up as Catheys Valley borrowers and have their own library services! Patrons can check out books and movies, reserve items, create a craft, listen to a readaloud, get technology assistance, and eat some cake!
For the next several months, we plan to be at McCay Hall each Thursday from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. offering book check-out services.
