The free series will be held every other Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Library meeting room beginning Wednesday, April 13, 2016. Classes will be taught by Jerry Wagner, a local computer technician and volunteer computer tutor for the Library. Working that day? Bring your lunch, and feed your body while you feed your brain.
During the first class, you will receive an introduction to the Windows 10 operating system, which will include:
- An overview;
- A discussion of how to obtain it, including what “free” means and qualifiers;
- Pros and cons of the system;
- Its functionality and a demonstration of its use.
The series is part of the Library’s computer literacy program. Free one-to-one computer tutoring is also available. These and other adult literacy services offered at the Library are made possible, in part, through a California State Library Literacy Services grant.
