March 9, 2025 – Le Grand, CA – Merced County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on March 7, 2025, at approximately 11:27 P.M., the Merced County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a fire at an RV in the 3800 block of Washington in Le Grand. Upon arrival, emergency personnel discovered a fully engulfed RV. After the fire was extinguished, a deceased individual was located inside.

At this time, the identity of the victim has not been determined. Merced County Sheriff’s Office Detectives, in conjunction with Arson Investigators from Merced County Fire, are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident.
