Officer-Involved Shooting Update 

March 19, 2025 – Modesto Police Department officials report that the suspect involved in Monday’s officer-involved shooting at Max Muscle, located at 3250 Dale Road, did not survive. He has been identified as 40-year-old Jimmy Lee Rupe of Modesto. Rupe had multiple felony warrants for Lewd Acts with a Child and several additional felony warrants related to firearms charges.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation. A Community Briefing with additional details about this incident will be provided in the near future.
