Countywide Retail Theft Operation Leads to 28 Arrests 

March 21, 2025 – Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office officials report that in a coordinated effort to combat organized retail theft, the sheriff’s office, alongside our law enforcement partners, conducted a Countywide Organized Retail Theft Operation on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.

This operation was made possible through strong partnerships with the Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office, California Highway Patrol, Modesto Police Department, Ceres Police Department, and Turlock Police Department. Together, we are sending a clear message that organized retail crime will not be tolerated in Stanislaus County.

We remain steadfast in our commitment to preventing retail theft from negatively impacting businesses and residents in our communities.
