March 21, 2025 – Fresno Police Department officials report that on March 4, 2025, Central officers responded to a report of a shooting into a residence in the area of Delno Avenue and Floradora Avenue. The living room window was shattered, and multiple bullet fragments were located inside. 

Felony Assault Detectives located video surveillance in the area of the shooting and a male was identified having a firearm in his possession just prior to the shooting. On March 18, 2025, our MAGEC unit conducted a probation check in the area of Fruit Avenue and McKinley Avenue regarding an investigation of suspect Christopher Arteaga, for illegal firearms possession and gang activity. Detectives discovered that he was also the suspect for the shooting into the residence on March 4th.

Detectives located a firearm associated with Arteaga and evidence from the night of the shooting. Arteaga was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail for being a felon in possession of a firearm, and committing a felony to willfully and maliciously discharge a firearm at an inhabited dwelling.
