Sheriff’s Detectives Seek Public Assistance 

March 23, 2025 – El Dorado County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Tuesday, March 18th at approximately 4:15 p.m., a male cyclist was assaulted and knocked from his bike on the bike trail behind Walmart near Missouri Flat Road. Two unidentified males attacked the victim and attempted to steal his bicycle, but their efforts were interrupted by a witness who came to his aid. The suspects fled the scene on foot—one running down the train tracks and the other along the bicycle trail.

The first suspect is described as approximately 6 foot tall male, with an athletic build, longer hair, wearing a light-colored sweatshirt and pants, a two-tone trucker cap, and carrying a dark gray backpack. The second suspect is described as a tall male with a thin build.
