Narcotics Investigation 

March 25, 2025 – Kern County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on March 22, 2025, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Kern County High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force (KC-HIDTA) concluded a narcotics investigation with the execution of a search warrant in the 700 block of McClean Avenue, Bakersfield. The investigation resulted in the seizure of over 118,000 fentanyl-laced (M-30) pills, a kilogram of powdered fentanyl, cocaine and U.S currency believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales. 

Misael Duarte-Parra, (age 41) of Mexico City, Mexico was located at the residence and found to be in possession of a large amount of fentanyl pills, powder fentanyl and cocaine.

Misael Duate-Parra was booked into the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Lerdo Justice Facility for the following charges: possession of a controlled substance (Fentanyl, Cocaine), possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of sales and for maintaining a residence for drug sales.
