She and Todd have raised their children close to the natural world and she is a strong advocate for the “No Child Left Inside” movement made famous by Rich Louv and his ground breaking book, “Last Child in the Woods - Saving our Children From Nature-deficit Disorder.” Her 7th book, “Modeling a Life” is nearly finished, chronicling their highly successful alternative lifestyle of educating and raising their children. After raising their children, the couple has taken on the task of creating a non-profit for combat veterans, RiverHouse PA, where they take Veterans into the peace of nature to help heal war wounds. Come out and hear all these stories, fresh off the Muir Ramble/John Muir Geo tourism Highway!
