March 28, 2025 – Marysville, CA – Yuba County Sheriff's Office officials report that they have identified the suspect involved in 
Wednesday morning’s shooting that claimed the life of Marysville Police Officer Osmar Rodarte.
The suspect, 60-year-old Rick David Oliver of Olivehurst, was struck by return gunfire and pronounced deceased inside his residence on Kestral Court.
Oliver's residence was one of several locations targeted by search warrants as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking and firearm-related crimes.
