Air 101 Assists in Rescue Operation 

March 30, 2025 – Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office officials report that at approximately 12:30 P.M. on Saturday, Air 101 was called to assist in a rescue operation at Frank Raines Off-Road Park following a rollover incident involving a side-by-side off road vehicle. The incident occurred on one of the park’s trails, and Stanislaus Regional 911 received a text to 911 reporting the accident.

As authorities arrived on scene it was determined that a side-by-side all-terrain vehicle with two passengers had rolled roughly 300 feet down a steep slope before coming to a stop in a hard-to-reach gorge. It was later confirmed that one of the occupants had been ejected and had minor injuries. Due to the challenging terrain and the severity of the patient's condition, air rescue was called in for extraction.

Air 101 conducted a long-line rescue to extricate the trapped individual and transported them to the designated landing zone. At that point, the patient was transferred to PHI Medical helicopter, which then flew the individual to a local hospital for further treatment. The extent of the injuries remains unknown at this time.

The rescue operation was coordinated seamlessly with assistance from Cal-Fire, West Stanislaus Fire District, Stanislaus Regional 911, Stanislaus County Fire Wardens Office and PHI Medical Air Ambulance.
