April 1, 2025 – El Dorado County Sheriff's Office officials report that on March 31st, 2025, at around 1:00 P.M., EDSO Deputies responded to the 6200 block of Red Robin Rd. Placerville for a report of a domestic violence incident and a possible subject who was armed with a firearm. EDSO Deputies arrived at the address, contacted one of the parties. 

While conducting their investigation, the deputies heard what sounded to be a gunshot and observed a male inside of the residence who was armed with a handgun. While conducting their investigation the male refused to exit the residence. An EDSO Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) member was on scene and worked to establish communication with the male in the residence. 

After approximately six hours, the male subject exited the residence and was safely taken into custody without further incident. At this time the incident is under investigation.
