Man Arrested for Solicitation of a Minor for Sex
April 5, 2025 – Fresno County Sheriff’s Office officials report that they are sharing this case on behalf of the
Kingsburg Police Department as their search continues for more potential victims.
On Tuesday, March 25, 2025, Kingsburg Police began investigating a report of an adult male soliciting a female juvenile to have sex. 25-year-old Uriel Alcala Rios was booked into the Fresno County Jail on numerous felonies related to this crime.
Kingsburg Detectives discovered that Rios began communicating with the minor a few years ago when she was 14 years old. During the early communications with the juvenile, Rios picked her up, took her to remote locations in the rural area, and engaged in sex acts with her. Those incidents were never reported to law enforcement. Recently, Rios began communicating with her again and tried to meet up with her to have sex. On March 27, 2025, Kingsburg Police with the assistance of the Fresno County Adult Compliance Team set up surveillance and arrested Rios once he arrived to meet up with the minor.
Rios was using a social media app to communicate with the victim. Kingsburg Detectives have interviewed others and found a second victim who Rios forced to perform sex acts. Detectives believe there may be more victims and are asking for anyone who has been contacted by Rios to notify law enforcement immediately. Rios is from Selma but most recently moved to Visalia. The Central Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force is assisting with the investigation.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Kingsburg Police Department at 559-897-4418.
