April 23, 2016 - Yosemite National Park is hosting a special Earth Day Festival in honor of the Centennial of the National Park Service. 


This free, special event will feature a myriad of booths in which park rangers and park partners will provide information, conduct games, and do demonstrations.

This event will also include a ceremony commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the California State Park Ranger. 

United States Congressman Tom McClintock (R-4th) will be at the event and joining in the activities. 

All events are free. 

Park entrance is free and the Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System (YARTS) is offering free bus rides into the park. This is the culmination of National Park Week.

Schedule of events on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 10:00 A.M to 3:00 P.M. at the Valley Visitors Center. 
A Special Ceremony at 2:00 P.M. to honor California State Park Ranger 150th Anniversary


  • Yosemite Superintendent Don Neubacher and Congressman McClintock providing remarks and leading the 2:00 p.m. ceremony.
