April 26, 2025 – Modesto, CA – Modesto Police Department officials report detectives with the Modesto Police Department’s Violent Crimes MPD NolanUnit have arrested 27-year-old Jason Nolan Jr. for attempted homicide.

On April 14, 2025, just after 8:00 a.m. Modesto Police Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Yosemite Ave., the parking lot of The Gospel Mission, for the report of a shooting. When Officers arrived on scene, they located witnesses who reported a male subject, later identified as Jason Nolan Jr., driving a small sedan, chasing the victim, who was in a separate vehicle. Both vehicles were driving recklessly through the parking lot as they were chasing each other.

During the chase, Jason shot at the victim as they were driving. Both vehicles fled the area in different directions on Yosemite Ave. Officers located evidence confirming a shooting had occurred in the parking lot. Detectives immediately began working the case, identifying Jason as the suspect in the shooting.

On April 24, 2025, just after 7:00 a.m. Jason was located and safely taken into custody in Modesto. Jason was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for 664/187 PC – Attempted Homicide.
