April 30, 2025 – Fresno Police Department officials report that on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 5:12 P.M., Fresno Police officers responded to Los Viejones Barbershop, located at 501 North Van Ness Avenue, Suite A, regarding a ShotSpotter activation. Upon arrival, officers determined that a shooting occurred inside and outside of the business. Two gunshot victims were located at the scene, and a third was found a short distance away.
One of the victims, 44-year-old Jampier Quintero, was transported to Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC), where—despite lifesaving efforts—was pronounced deceased on April 20, 2025. The two additional Hispanic male victims, age 20 & 17, were treated at CRMC for gunshot wounds and later released.
Homicide detectives identified 18-year-old Kobe Chantharangsy as the suspect. Further investigation revealed Chantharangsy’s involvement in a separate shooting that occurred on April 18, 2025, near Recreation Avenue and Gettysburg Avenue, where a 19-year-old male victim sustained three gunshot wounds.

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, Chantharangsy was arrested by plainclothes detectives and booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges of murder and multiple other offenses related to the shootings. The investigation also revealed that Adrian Echeverria was an accessory in the crime, and he has been charged as an accessory.
