May 12, 2025 – Fresno Police Department officials report that the Southeast DST contacted three males who were loitering in the area of Bond Street and Belmont Avenue, one being a known gang member. As officers approached, the known male began to run away, clutching his waistband. Officers followed him and observed him throw a firearm over a fence. 

Officers were able to quickly detain him and recovered the firearm. The male was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail on several charges including being a felon in possession of a firearm and obstructing an officer. One of the other males was arrested on a probation violation.
