Madera County Commuter Alert for Thursday 

May 21, 2025 – MADERA COUNTY, CA – A section of State Route 41, in Madera County, will have one-way traffic control for caltrans logothree hours this Thursday morning. Traffic control will take place through the Rocky Cut area, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., because of debris removal. Please plan accordingly. 

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will be removing debris, on State Route 41, through the Rocky Cut area, north of State Route 145, on Thursday, May 22nd.  The operation is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

The following will occur on Thursday, May 22nd:

  • One-way traffic control will be in place, through the Rocky Cut area, roughly five miles north of State Route 145.
  • Both northbound and southbound lanes will be impacted.
  • The debris removal operation is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
  • Drivers may experience short delays during this time.

The time frame of the one-way traffic control may be extended, if necessary, due to delays caused by weather or uncontrollable events that may occur.
