May 24, 2025 – Kern County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on May 22, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an address in the 700 block of Knotts Street in an attempt to locate wanted subject Anthony Porter (31), of Bakersfield.

Upon arrival, deputies located Porter inside of the residence and he continuously refused to comply with deputies’ orders. After negotiating with Porter for an extended period of time, he complied with deputies’ orders and was taken into custody without further incident.

Porter was booked into the Kern County Sheriff’s Office jail for his active arrest warrant that included numerous weapons offenses, resisting arrest with threats of violence, and violation of his parole.
