Skip the parking lot and pedal your way through Yosemite National Park!

May 27, 2025 – Yosemite National Park officials issue a reminder that Yosemite Valley has several miles of paved bike/pedestrian paths. From short rides with waterfall views to full loops of the valley floor, cyclists can take in the iconic views without the stress of driving and parking at each location.

There is a maximum speed limit of 15 mph when biking in the park. Please do not bike on unpaved trails and remember that children under 18 years of age are required by law to wear helmets (adults are encouraged to wear them too). Skilled cyclists may cycle on regular roads, but please remember to bike with the flow of traffic, obey all stop signs, and be observant of drivers (who are often distracted by the park's beauty).

Cyclists can bring their bikes to the park, but bikes are also available for rent at Curry Village, Yosemite Village, and Yosemite Valley Lodge.

For a map of bicycling trails and more information on biking in the park, please visit: https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/biking.htm.
