May 28, 2025 – Madera County Sheriff's Office & CHP officials report that on Highway 41 and Van Teri Road near Yosemite RV Park south of Coarsegold was closed to traffic on Tuesday for a two-vehicle head-on crash.

The Sheriff's Office, Cal Fire and the California Highway Patrol were on the scene of a major traffic collision with fatalities.

A vehicle was blocking the roadway and another vehicle traveled off the roadway and down the embankment.

The north and south lanes of Highway 41 have now been reopened.
