June 10, 2025 – Mariposa County Library officials announce upcoming Zip Book Party on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. 

Did you hear? We're throwing a party! Our Zip Books Party will be held Tuesday, June 17 from 5:30 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the Mariposa Branch. It is free, and all are welcome. Zip Books is a grant funded program through the State of California. The way it works is, patrons can fill out request forms for books that are not already in the library's collection. We can order the book and ship it directly to the patron's home. They get to read it first and are then responsible for bringing it back to the library, where it is then added to our collection.

Take advantage of this opportunity to add books of your choice to the library's shelves. This program ends on Monday, June 30, but we have applied for more funding in the next fiscal year. Show up to enjoy some refreshments and fill out request forms! We'll have a staff member there to assist.
