June 14, 2025 – Fresno Police Department officials report that on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 6:51 p.m., officers were dispatched to a six round Shot Spotter activation near Griffith Way and Hughes Avenue. 33-year-old Nicholas Bolanos was found hunched over and bleeding from the chest. Bolanos was transported to the Community Regional Medical Center for medical treatment. Unfortunately, he did not survive his injuries and was later pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene, spoke with witnesses and continued to search for leads surrounding the incident. Detectives are seeking information related to the case.
