The sun is shining, and we are HERE for it, but we're also HERE to remind you to PROTECT your skin!
Sunscreen is an important tool for everybody, and there are many different types to make protecting your skin that much easier. We have found some great tips to safely get you out in the sun!
- Make sure that you apply ENOUGH sunscreen. Apply the equivalent of a shot glass which is about 1.5 ounces of liquid sunscreen to cover both your body and face. If you are just covering your face use about a teaspoon.
- Reapply every two (2) hours. Yes, even higher SPFs should be re-applied regularly especially if you are sweating or swimming.
- Use other protective items such as hats, sunglasses, and clothing whenever you can.
- Don't skip sunscreen on cloudy days. Nearly 80% of UV rays can get past clouds!
Remember, everyone is susceptible to sunburns, skin cancers, and damage from UV rays. An extra layer of protection is good for every body!
